I have some general questions about action figure production in China…

What are the most common materials used for manufacturing typical hard plastic action figures?
vinyl? PVC? whats are the differences?

Assuming that a sculpt exists, what would the general costs involved in creating the tool for injection molding?
What are the minimum quantities for production?

Can you suggest a resource for learning more about this process? Or a resource to find overseas manufacturers.

I have been trying to ID a 5-1/2 inch female action figure for ages, and I can’t come up with her name.  You might be able to help and if you can, you have my eternal gratitude.  She is dressed in a light green tunic with darker green legs, light green wristcuffs, silver boots and a green helmet.  All plastic, no cloth.  There is a green ‘emerald’ stone embedded at the top of her tunic.  She has a blond pony tail coming out of the top of the helmet.  She has a dial on the back, and if you turn it, her head swivels inside the helmet and reveals a grumpy face [in other words, she has two faces].  She articulates at the hips and arms and waist.  On the back, she is marked “M.I.1984 Taiwan”. Hi,

I have a Godaikin Gardian from 1984 that has been exposed to sunlight over the years.  As a result, the white plastic (hard plastic) has yellowed.  Do you know of any method that can restore the plastic to white?

In Dark Awakening the Quintessons used special ciruit implants to bring Prime`s body back to a pseudo-life so they could destroy the Autobots.  Rodimus gave him back the Matrix but at the end of the episode he gave it back to Hot Rod saying the the Quints were”monsters, they used me to destroy the very ones I loved in life, but you will save them”.  Was his life force ever in his body, did he exert some sort of control or did the implants back fire since some of his memory and personality remained?  If he was still in the Matrix, how was he able to return to his body when Rodimus had the Matrix in Return of Optimus Prime pt.1?
