Hi, we are living in a rental house and I absolutely cannot stand the kitchen.  Everything is “renters white” and I need to add some color.  I was thinking of painting an accent wall and then maybe some of teh beams on the ceiling.  The problem is this – we have the cabinets in the kitchen with that space above them – there is not shelf – it is just flat space.  There is this (very ugly) wallpaper on it that is of course, white.  What can I do to cover or decorate this space above the cabinets?  The wallpaer does have a raised decoration thing in it and I can’t remove teh wallpaper or paint over it so I need a way to spruce it up or hide it.
Thanks!

Hi Eileen,
I have a framed full-length mirror that is actually suppose to be used on a door, but I want to turn it long ways and hang it above my couch. The only problem is, it looks like a door mirror turned sideways. What I’d like to do is take some wide chair rail and attach it on top of the existing frame to make a wider, prettier frame…how do I go about doing this? Can I just put the chair rail right on top? Do I have to put the whole mirror on plywood first? I’m just not sure how to do it. Should I use something other than chair rail? Help! Thanks!
Ann

I am painting plastic water jugs and was wondering if you could recommend a paint that would not scrape off. I have used paint markers in the past but they don’t stay I even tried spraying with a sealant and it scraped off also. Any suggestions? I am pianting names and a soccer ball on the jugs.
